Privacy Policy

UbuntuRN ("we", "us") provides a mobile learning app for nursing students and this website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run the app, we don't sell your data, and you can delete your account and data at any time.

Information we collect

How we use it

What we share

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that run UbuntuRN:

We may also disclose information if required by law.

What other users see

Your display name, profile photo, and the content you post in community areas are visible to other UbuntuRN users. Your learning progress and scores are private to you. Direct messages are visible to you and the recipient.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from the app's profile settings, which removes your personal data from our systems; community posts may be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve conversations. To have your email removed from the waitlist, contact us.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, stored with a reputable cloud provider, and protected by access controls (row-level security) so users can only access their own data.

Children

UbuntuRN is intended for nursing students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us and we'll honor these requests.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and notify you in the app.
